Starting from September 25, the airline company HiSky introduces a new route that will connect Bucharest and the capital of the Republic of Moldova. Flights will be operated three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, departing from Chisinau airport at 7:30 a.m. and returning at 18:30 p.m. The ticket price starts from 49,99 euros for the flight segment, and the journey lasts 50 minutes.

Until the introduction of the new route in the HiSky portfolio, only TAROM offered regular direct flights from Bucharest to Chisinau.

"We are today the main airline operator in the Republic of Moldova, and the results of the last year place us in fourth place on the Romanian market, according to the number of passengers. HiSky is a project born in Chisinau, but Bucharest has become, in a short time, the most important of our hubs. Under these conditions, we saw the introduction of a regular route between Bucharest and Chisinau as a moral obligation that we have, as a company that has won the trust of passengers on both banks of the Prut. Entering a segment previously operated by a single company will also automatically mean a drop in price. We welcome our passengers with an introductory fare offer that we hope will encourage travel on this route for both business and leisure travelers from both countries.", says Iulian Scorpan, CEO of HiSky.

For the first time for an international destination, the product developed by HiSky for frequent travelers will also be available for the Bucharest - Chisinau route. The Smart Pass ticket package was until now only addressed to passengers on domestic routes in Romania, Bucharest – Cluj and Bucharest – Timișoara. The subscription, mainly addressed to companies but also available to individuals, allows the purchase of tickets at a reduced price, for travel during a year, with benefits included such as changing dates up to 24 hours before the flight, checked baggage, choosing a seat on the plane and check-in at the airport, free of charge.

With the launch of the Bucharest - Chisinau route, the airline reaches a total of 25 destinations operated with regular flights, from Romania and the Republic of Moldova. With a fleet of eight Airbus aircraft, from the A320 family, HiSky is also the main operator of charter flights to holiday destinations, in partnership with the most important travel agencies in Romania.
