Boeing and flyDubai have announced an agreement to purchase 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners as the airline diversifies its operational network. At the ceremony held at Dubai Airshow 2023, flyDubai officials said they will use the new aircraft to open new routes and increase transport capacity on existing routes.
The chosen model is the 787-9 Dreamliner, which can carry 296 passengers over a distance of up to 14 kilometers. "The 000-787 is a perfect fit for flydubai's needs, facilitating the opening of new, longer-haul routes and increasing capacity on existing routes," said Stan Deal, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
