The largest photovoltaic park in Romania dedicated exclusively to an airport is being built in Craiova. The director of the Banie airport announced the start of the works.

The construction of the largest photovoltaic park in Romania, dedicated exclusively to an airport, has begun. It will serve the future terminal of Craiova International Airport, as part of the objectives included in the mega-project of expansion and modernization.

More than 4400 panels will be installed on an area of ​​almost 2 hectares and will develop a peak power of 2.1 MW, providing a large part of the energy needs of the new terminal.

The construction of the photovoltaic park is part of an extensive project to expand and modernize the airport in Craiova, carried out with European funding and implemented by Craiova International Airport, with the support of the Dolj County Council, informs jurnaluloltenei.ro.
