In January 2021, Volotea presented the figures for the whole year 2020. For an unprecedented year in aviation history, Volotea presented some satisfactory figures.

In 2020, amid the health crisis, Volotea managed to adapt and redefine its operational network. It increased on many domestic routes in the countries where it flew, which accounted for 86% of all flights operated. This flexible strategy, combined with the best operational standards, allowed Volotea to achieve satisfactory results.

In 2020, Volotea carried approximately 3.8 million passengers, with an aircraft load of 90.7%. In Q3 2020, Volotea had reached an operational level of 83% compared to the same period of 2019 (a minus of 17%), given that the industry recorded a decline of about 70%.

At the same time, Volotea managed to increase its punctuality rate by 14.6% (OTP15 of 91.7%). By all accounts: the punctuality rate is measured in the margin of 15 minutes compared to the estimated time on the ticket, which means that 91.7% of Volotea flights arrived on time in this margin.

Throughout 2020, Volotea operated 30600 flights on 293 routes, with an LF of 90.7% and a punctuality rate of 91.7%. All this led to an increase in customer satisfaction by 4% compared to 2019, reaching 90.6%.

We mention that Volotea gave up Boeing 717 aircraft, standardizing the all-Airbus fleet.
