Wizz Air celebrates the transport of 3 million passengers from / to Iași

Wizz Air, Europe's fastest growing and most sustainable airline, announces that it has carried 3 million passengers traveling to and from Iasi International Airport. To celebrate this important milestone, the 3 millionth passenger, who traveled on a flight from Dortmund to Iasi, was awarded a gift voucher for flights on the WIZZ network.

As its largest base in the Moldova region in terms of number of flights, the airline has continuously invested in the route network connecting the regional airport to the rest of Europe.

Now, with three aircraft assigned to the WIZZ base in Iasi, Romanian passengers benefit from direct flights from Iasi International Airport to 20 destinations in 11 European countries. Wizz Air's route network and low-cost seats in Iasi underline the company's commitment to the area, both for Romanian passengers and for the local labor market specific to aviation and related industries. With routes that connect the whole of Europe, Romanians will be able to travel with Wizz Air at reduced rates to the most interesting destinations, whether it's sunny holidays, city breaks in famous cities or visiting friends and family.

Wanting to mark this occasion and celebrate the anniversary of its passengers, the airline prepared a surprise for the 3 millionth lucky passenger who traveled on the Dortmund-Iasi route. Opriță Vasilica-Andreea traveled from Dortmund to Iasi and received the news on board the aircraft. After disembarking, she was awarded a gift voucher for flights on the WIZZ network and was invited to take part in a photo shoot with crew members and airport representatives.
