Wizz Air reaches a new summer record, with 33 million passengers carried in the 2023 summer season!

Wizz Air, Europe's fastest growing and most environmentally sustainable airline globally, has announced a new summer operations record after carrying 33 million passengers between April and September 2023 .

The results show significant growth for the European carrier, with passenger numbers increasing by over 24% compared to the previous summer. Travelers usually booked their tickets in advance to ensure a well-deserved break.

Passengers enjoyed beach holidays, city breaks and opportunities to reunite with family. In Romania, Wizz Air recorded a significant increase of 29% year-on-year in terms of the number of registered passengers during the summer.

The most popular destinations for Romanian customers this summer included countries such as Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus.
