Wizz Air, the fastest growing airline in Europe, announces the number of 250.000 passengers who traveled to and from Bacau "George Enescu" International Airport. In the spirit of the occasion, the passenger number 250.000, who traveled with a flight from Rome Ciampino to Bacău, was awarded a gift voucher for flights in the WIZZ network.
Opening the 31st base at Bacau Airport In October 2020, the airline continuously invested in the network of routes connecting the regional airport to the rest of Europe. It has become the second WIZZ base in the region of Moldova, which now offers direct flights to 10 destinations in 4 European countries. The 250.000th passenger, Colatau Georgeta, was traveling from Rome to Bacau and received the news on board the aircraft. After disembarking, Ms. Colatau received a prize consisting of a gift voucher for flights on the WIZZ network and was invited to take part in a photo shoot with the crew members.
