Airbus on 2017: 718 airplanes delivered, 1109 airplanes received on order

Airbus has drawn a line on 2017 and the results are positive but below that of the US competitor. The European aircraft manufacturer delivered 718 aircraft, with 4% more than 2016.

Here comes the turn of the Airbus to boast the figures on 2017. Airbus managed to deliver 718 aircraft to 85 customers, up 4% from 2016. At the same time, it received orders for 1109 aircraft from 44 customers.

Of the total aircraft delivered: 588 were from the A320 family (181 x A320neo); 67 x A330; 78 x A350 XWB and 15 x A380.

At the same time, 44 customers placed orders for 1109 aircraft. Thus, at the end of 2017, Airbus had total orders for 7 265 aircraft worth 1.059 trillions of dollars, calculated at list prices.

Thanks to the 4 production plants, which are in Hamburg, Tianjin, Mobile and Toulouse, Airbus hopes to reach a production rate of 60 of A320 aircraft per month up to the middle of 2019. At the same time, the production rate for A350 XWB will increase to 10 units per month until the end of 2018.

2017 also marked important milestones for the European manufacturer of civil and military aircraft. He delivered to 100 Airbus A350 XWB, the 50 A320 aircraft manufactured by Mobile, delivered at 100 A380 Emirates.

Also in 2017, the first A330neo operated the first flight, A350-1000 has received certification EASA and FAA type, and again the first Airbus Beluga XL exited the assembly line.
