Domestic flights to Vietnam were resumed on October 10, 2021

The Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration (CAAV) has announced the resumption of 10 domestic routes from October 10, 2021, with the requirement that passengers be vaccinated.

These include flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Thanh Hoa, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yên, Binh Dinh, Phu Quôc, with a frequency of four rotations per day, shared between Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietjet Air and between Thanh Hoa and Khanh Hoa, Phu Quôc, with a daily rotation operated by Vietjet Air. 

Passengers must be completely vaccinated. In addition, a negative coronavirus test performed 72 hours before the trip is required. These include Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam, and the epicenter of COVID growth in the country. Another test will be performed on arrival and one week after arrival.

On October 2, 2021, the authority submitted to the Ministry of Transport and Communications a proposal to resume regular domestic flights offering 18 routes, pending the approval of the authorities of each city concerned. After receiving the approvals of 13 out of 20 from those localities, the authority confirmed the resumption of 10 routes. As of October 6, 2021, Vietnam reported 4.363 new cases of COVID and 119 deaths.
