ECDC updated the epidemiological index (May 13, 2021): 88 states risk entering Romania's yellow list.

0 2.298

European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) reports an index calculated for 14 days each week. For example, today, May 13, 2021, the list with the epidemiological index reported for the period April 26 - May 9, 2021 was published.

If the Romanian authorities, in this case the National Committee for Emergency Situations, will update yellow list, countries such as Ireland, Slovakia, Norway, Sri Lanka will return to the yellow list. Romania reached the 90th position according to the contagion index, which is 98.95 cases per 100 inhabitants.

CAREFUL!!! This is not Romania's yellow list. To avoid questions, countries such as Moldova, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Malta, Finland or Israel remain in the "green" zone.

TOP 100 countries according to the epidemiological index

I chose to publish the list of the 100 countries according to the index in order to be able to analyze the evolution as well. Everything over Romania will be on the yellow list. Everything under Romania will remain in the green zone.

ECDC report published on Thursday, May 13, for the period April 26-May 9, 2021

As more and more people challenge this list, we mention that ECDC is a European institution that receives data from each country and, based on the information received, this ranking is established. Until the new tie-breaking criteria, this was the main way in which Romania was able to make this yellow list according to the contagion index in each country. And we criticize the way this list is made.
