Heavy snow has hit southern Germany since Friday night and continued into Saturday, causing major disruptions at Munich Airport, Germany's second-busiest air hub.

The airport said Saturday it was suspending flights until 6 a.m. Sunday. About 320 of the 760 flights scheduled for Saturday were canceled, German news agency DPA reported. Airport snow removal crews were struggling to keep at least one runway operational.

Meteorologists have predicted heavy snowfall until Saturday night, in the area of ​​Bavaria, with up to 40 centimeters of snow!
