RYANAIR announces 3 new bases in Greece and 46 new routes

Official, Greece opens the 2021 summer tourist season on May 14, but only for those vaccinated, immunized or tested for COVID-19. But Romanians could travel to Greece from mid-April, especially for the short Easter holiday.

Since Greece announced the opening plan for the tourist season, hundreds of routes and flights have been announced by airlines, especially low-cost ones. RYANAIR plans to open 3 new bases in Greece. Specifically, it is about 2 totally new bases Corfu (CFU) and Rhodes (RHO), but also the reopening of the Chania base (CHQ) after 3 years from its closure.

The largest low-cost carrier in Europe intends to allocate 2 planes to the Corfu base, while the Rhodes and Chania bases will have one plane each.

3 new bases in Greece and 107 routes in the summer season 2021

In the summer season 2021, RYANAIR will operate frequent flights on 107 routes from the three bases, of which 46 are new routes. Eighteen new routes are from Corfu, 15 from Chania and 27 from Rhodes. All three bases are scheduled to open in July 2021 and will be initially seasonal, operating until October 2021.

From Corfu, RYANAIR will fly to destinations such as: Vienna, Brussels, Prague, Copenhagen, Budapest, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Milan, Rome, Verona, Berlin, Cologne, Nuremberg and many more. Including domestically, RYANAIR will fly from Corfu to Santorini and Heraklion.

From Rhodes, RYANAIR will fly to destinations such as: Vienna, Brussels, Prague, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Milan, Rome, Berlin, Memmingen, Warsaw, London, Manchester and many more. Including domestically, RYANAIR will fly from Rhodes to Thessaloniki and Heraklion.

From Chania (Crete), RYANAIR will fly to destinations such as: Vienna, Brussels, Sofia, Dublin, Tel Aviv, Milan, Rome, Venice, Berlin, Memmingen, Frankfurt, Warsaw, London, Manchester, Kiev and many more. Including domestically, RYANAIR will fly from Chania to Thessaloniki, Athens and Mykonos.
