Wizz Air announces 5 aircraft for base in Cluj and will open 4 new routes

Wizz Air announces the expansion of the fleet at the base in Cluj, with a new Airbus A320 aircraft, starting with 22 July 2016. It will operate on four new routes: Cluj-Napoca - Alicante, Cluj-Napoca - Berlin Schoenefeld, Cluj-Napoca - Billund (Denmark) and Cluj-Napoca - Doncaster Sheffield. And, of course, the frequencies on the most popular routes, including the one to London Luton, which will be operated by three flights a day, from one of the largest cities in Romania, will be supplemented.

In the first nine months of 2015, Wizz Air traffic increased by 20% on routes in Romania, compared to the same period last year. In the same period, the traffic from Cluj-Napoca increased by 42%, compared to the period January - September 2014. Since the beginning of its operations in Romania, nine years ago, WIZZ has transported 21 millions of passengers from all airports where it operates.

Berlin, the capital of Germany and an important cultural, political, media and scientific center, and Billund, which is the first city in Denmark served by Wizz Air in Romania, are added as new destinations in the network of 113 Wizz airports. With its four new routes and flights to Munich Memmingen, recently launched, Wizz Air offers 27 total destinations from Cluj airport. Tickets for the new routes are already available on wizzair.com.
