Greece opens the 2021 summer tourist season on May 14, but only for those vaccinated, immunized or tested for COVID-19. Greek borders will also be open to the British. With 12 destinations and the largest number of seats available so far, this summer will be the busiest on flights from London Heathrow Airport to Greece. The places will increase by a fifth, reaching over one million compared to the pre-COVID period in the summer of 2019.

But in addition to the large number of flights between London Heathrow and Greece, more and more low-cost and full-service airlines are announcing new connections between the UK and holiday destinations in Greece.

On March 11, RYANAIR announced 3 new routes and additional flights on another 5 routes between the UK and Greece, all starting on July 1, 2021.

New routes: Stansted - Preveza; Stansted - Zakynthos and Stansted - Santorini. The 3 routes will be honored with 2 weekly flights.

Additional flights: Birmingham - Corfu (3 + 1); Corfu - East Midlands (3 + 1); Corfu - Manchester (3 + 1); Corfu - Southend (3 + 1); Stansted - Rhodes (3 + 1).

Greece is optimistic about the tourist season 2021. The restrictive measures imposed so far, the covid vaccination campaign, but also the hygiene measures adopted by the hotel units predict a summer with many tourists in the realm of the gods.
